The Cerema invites you, (the 2 of december - 13h to 15h UT), to presentations and discussions about wave measurement observatories of 9 different countries (Belgium,England, Finland, France, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, USA). The webinar follows an international benchmark carried out by Cerema in 2021 to share respective experience, to find new ways to perpetuate the measurement sites and enhance the data's value. The webinar is opened to coastal wave measurement networks and observatories operators as well as to all the other parties interested in the production or the use of data.
The aim of the seminar is to share the key information gathered, in particular with the various parties involved in this kind of observatorie. The objective is to better understand nature and goals of data providers, to share respective experience to find new ways to perpetuate the measurement sites and enhance the data's value.

About Cerema
Cerema is a public organisation aiming at facilitating the projects of territories and providing knowledge and know-how to a wide range of both public and private actors. In particular, Cerema established and has been running the French national coastal wave measurement observatory (including a significant part of the measurement network for wind-sea and swell), know as Candhis.
Cerema’s effort to date aims a developing an integrated national information system on sea states, ensuring the production, capitalization and dissemination of data and evolved services to endusers as well as improving the animation of the communities of users and stakeholders. It’s why Cerema has carried out in 2021 an self-funded international benchmark on coastal wave measurement networks and observatories, establish a state of the art as well as to orientate its own strategy of development Candhis.
Audience
The webinar is opened to operators of coastal wave observatories as well as anyone working on the waves, providers and users.
